10x supported ENpower across two phases. Phase 1 included revising the organisational Theory of Change, creating programme-level ToC and logframe, auditing processes, designing survey tools, and developing a DPDP-aligned data privacy policy. In Phase 2, we digitized data collection, built user-friendly dashboards using Google Data Studio, set up secure data storage, and conducted staff training. The system enables real-time insights and ensures consistency, scalability, and informed decisions across ENpower’s programs.

MEL Partner for Kerala's Largest Women in Tech Hackathon

TinkerHub annually hosts Kerala’s largest women-focused hackathon, bringing together over 5,000 female technologists, innovators, and problem solvers. It offers a platform to showcase talent, build solutions, and gain hands-on experience in tech and entrepreneurship. In 2024, TinkerHub partnered with 10x Impact Labs as their Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning (MEL) partner. We designed and executed a robust MEL framework to measure outcomes, capture participant experiences, and generate insights to strengthen future editions. The collaboration aimed to both celebrate achievements and identify opportunities to make the hackathon even more impactful for women in tech.

Grant Management Platform to Track ₹800+ Crore Annual CSR Spending Across 200+ Projects

10x Impact Labs, in partnership with Dhwani RIS, led the development of a large-scale Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning (MEL) & Grant Management system for one of India’s largest banking CSR initiatives. By providing dedicated Product Management support, we led the end-to-end process - from gathering requirements and managing timelines to overseeing technical development and facilitating cross-functional collaboration. Over a 6-month engagement, the platform was successfully launched to manage ₹800 crore in annual disbursals across 38 focus areas and 200+ monthly projects, significantly enhancing transparency, streamlining processes, and improving impact tracking for the CSR’s funding efforts.

Setting up MEL Processes and Tech Systems to Enable 100,000+ Rural Persons with Disabilities

10x Impact Labs partnered with EnAble India, India’s leading Disability focused Non-profit to design and implement robust Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning (MEL) processes and technology systems aimed at enabling livelihood opportunities for over 100,000+ rural persons with disabilities (PwDs). The initiative focused on creating a data-driven decision-making framework that streamlined program tracking, beneficiary engagement, and impact measurement. By integrating inclusive digital tools, mobile data collection, and real-time dashboards, the project enhanced visibility into skill development, job placements, and income generation for PwDs. Phase 1 was recently completed. It primarily included design and development of Version 1 of the new MEL Tech System.

10x supported Key Education Foundation in designing and implementing a org-level dashboarding system for its Foundational Literacy & Numeracy (FLN) programmes & product. The engagement involved harmonising reporting structures and metrics across multiple implementation users (student data, parents data, school data, teachers data), designing data pipelines and automated reporting workflows, and building interactive dashboards with drill-down capabilities for programme, product and leadership teams. The system was designed not just as a reporting interface, but as a decision-support and portfolio intelligence layer to enable tracking of programme performance, operational indicators, implementation progress, and early warning signals across geographies and partners. Alongside the technology and dashboarding components, the engagement also involved close coordination with partner organisations on metric alignment, reporting standardisation, and implementation workflows.

Fail-Proofing State Public Health Digital and AI Systems

To support the digital health transformation in Andhra Pradesh and Odisha, 10x Impact Labs is serving as the Product & Design Team for Access Health & Gates Foundation, leading a GovTech Product & Design sprint initiative to validate and refine the proposed statewide digital systems before any code is even written. Over 12 months, we are conducting user research, rapid prototyping and piloting core components - Care Coordination Centers, Slot Management, PHR apps, HMIS, and frontline workflows - through real-world simulations. This approach will generate critical evidence on what works, what does not, and why, forming the basis of a Version 2 system design grounded in operational realities. Product Management Unit for Evidence-Based Tech and AI Experimentation

As the Product Management Unit (PMU) for Ashoka Asia, 10x Impact Labs is supporting 8 large Non-profits across 6 countries to design and develop data platforms leveraging existing Tech in their communities to solve issues across health, education, water, livelihoods and climate. We are helping Ashoka fellows achieve Product-Market Fit (PMF) by guiding them to test assumptions with real stakeholders, run lean pilots, and iteratively refine solutions based on data and community feedback, ensuring their ideas meet actual needs and drive meaningful impact. We also built Ashoka's first AI Knowledge Management Platform Product. Cost Efficiency & ROI: Building an equivalent in-house team comprising senior product, design, technology, and implementation experts would typically cost ₹1–1.5 crore+ annually. Through this engagement, organizations gain access to the same multidisciplinary expertise on a fractional basis, significantly reducing overhead while accelerating execution. Across similar PMU engagements, this model has demonstrated an estimated ROI of 1:5, with every ₹1 invested generating approximately ₹5 in measurable program value through stronger product outcomes, improved operational efficiency, faster decision-making, and reduced implementation waste.

Improving Livelihoods and Earnings of Village-Level Entrepreneurs

10x Impact Labs partnered with Jan Sahas on a rapid 0-to-1 Product innovation sprint to improve the livelihoods of Village Level Entrepreneurs (VLEs) operating Common Service Centres (CSCs) across Uttar Pradesh. Through extensive field research, user interviews, journey mapping, and solution testing, we explored the challenges faced by VLEs in delivering government services to rural communities while sustaining viable incomes. Using a human-centred design approach, the team identified and validated 10 key pain points, generated multiple solution concepts, and co-designed two high-potential interventions with entrepreneurs and end-users. The engagement culminated in the development and design of two solutions: Mobile VLEs, enabling entrepreneurs to serve multiple villages and significantly increase earning potential, and Meri Yojanaen Cards, designed to increase citizen awareness and footfall at CSCs. The project generated actionable evidence that informed Jan Sahas' decision to invest in further piloting and scaling these innovations to strengthen both entrepreneur livelihoods and access to government services in rural India.

Improving 200+ Grassroots NGOs' MEL Platform

Dhwani Foundation partnered with 10x Impact Labs to enhance the Goonjan MIS platform used by over 200 grassroots NGOs across India. The NGOs using the platform covered domains of Disability, Education, social protection, Livelihoods and Health. This collaboration involved a comprehensive assessment of the current system, user engagement through surveys, interviews, and field visits, and a gap analysis to identify areas for improvement. The resulting recommendations included a user interface redesign, feature enhancements, performance optimizations, and a robust training and support program. The foundation went on to implement 3 out of the 4 key recommendations and saw significant improvement of their product impact and usage.

Building a Future-Ready Data Governance Framework for a Rural Livelihoods NGO

We conducted a mixed-methods endline evaluation for the Youth Livelihoods Initiative of Dalyan Foundation and their NGO Partner (Pragati). Our efforts included framework design, tool design, extensive primary research, field data collection, training enumerators, baseline-endline analysis, qualitative insights, learning workshops, and an assessment of Pragati’s MEL systems. This work enabled the program and Dalyan Foundation to clearly understand income, livelihood, agency, and well-being outcomes for tribal youth, capture lived experiences, identify what worked and what needs improvement, and strengthen internal MEL capacity. The engagement supported evidence-based decision-making, helped shape future strategy, and left Pragati with practical tools, datasets, and a roadmap for continued learning and program refinement. It also directly helped Dalyan Foundation decide on its next cycle of funding for Pragati.

ChatMnE: How Upaya Used AI to Improve Impact Measurement in Livelihoods

ChatMnE, 10x Impact Labs’ AI-powered MEL co-pilot, supported Upaya’s Impact Measurement & Management (IMM) team in designing stronger measurement frameworks and evaluation tools across multiple livelihoods-focused investments. For two waste management enterprises and one poultry enterprise, the team used ChatMnE to structure and refine comprehensive Theory of Change frameworks, helping clearly articulate pathways from inputs and activities to outputs, outcomes, and long-term impact. The platform was particularly valuable in sharpening outcome statements and distinguishing outputs from outcomes. ChatMnE also assisted in designing impact evaluation questionnaires by helping teams frame sensitive questions around beneficiary mental health and wellbeing in a non-invasive yet actionable manner. Through contextual follow-up questions and domain-specific guidance, the platform generated more nuanced and relevant recommendations than generic AI tools. Additionally, it supported the development of specialized survey modules for goat-rearing livelihoods programs, helping teams capture insights on livestock survival, farmer outcomes, and the contribution of local implementing partners. The result was faster, higher-quality MEL design, enabling teams to develop more robust theories, indicators, and evaluation instruments with significantly less effort.

Over a one-month engagement, we assessed leading LMS platforms across key criteria including cost, multilingual support, self-paced learning, assessments, analytics, integrations, mobile accessibility, scalability, security, and vendor support. Through market research, platform testing, vendor consultations, and feature benchmarking, the team developed a structured comparison matrix and recommendation report for leadership. 10x Impact Labs partnered with Nyaaya to design and optimize the Ask Nyaaya chatbot, a digital legal information service that provides citizens with quick, reliable, and easy-to-understand legal guidance. Over a 3–4 month engagement, we worked with Nyaaya’s program team, legal experts, and developers to transform a manual query-resolution process that often took up to a week into an automated system capable of responding within minutes. Through user research, persona development, chatbot design, and iterative testing, the team created structured workflows for legal queries, government schemes, and rights-based information. Key features included automated query categorization, spam filtering, standardized legal responses, and escalation pathways for sensitive cases requiring human support.
